Cape Parrots are the largest of the Poicephalus genus. They are related to Senegal Parrots but don't share much in common. Cape Parrots combine many of the advantages of African Greys and Senegal Parrots in one. African Grey parrots are powder birds making them difficult to keep for people with respiratory problems or allergies. Capes use oil for their feathers and don't release as much dust.

Cape Parrots are a bit smaller than Congo African Greys, but still fill that mid-size parrot range. They have a large personality in a mid sized body. They tend to be more bold and outgoing than typical African Greys.
